Front ground effect...how to attach to fenders
I kno from the factory there was a metal plate with three studs that would slip behind the gfx and bolt onto the fender. The problem is i dont have either of these pieces and would like to attach the gfx on friday when i "think" im getting it back from the body shop. What is the best way to go about this? Has anyone just not attached it there and just bolted it on on the back bottom? Is there another way that people do it?

You can get a similar piece of flat metal from lowes/home depot and make your own. Just cut it down to size lay it over the holes and mark them with a sharpie. Then you can drill them and use normal nuts and bolts. I weld the bolts to the backside of the metal and undercoat them so they don't rust but you don't need to weld them if you don't have access.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice. Ill probably end up doing it that way since i do have one of those pieces to go by (studs are broken off).

I've done it on several cars i've worked on, including my own due to rusty studs. It's really simple and the closest you can get to factory. Good luck...

Just finished making my replacement brackets. I was able to find everything i needed at the local hardware store for a hair under 10 bucks! I cut the metal flat stock to size. Measured and drilled my holes and then threaded the bolts into them. I purposly drilled the holes a bit on the small side so i would have to force the bolts into them so they cant move around. They look great and i just test fit them on the fenders so they should be good to go. Thanks again for the advice.
