Firebird Headlight Door Height Adjustment Question
I have an issue with my headlight doors not aligning with the front edge of my hood of my 1989 Firebird with the doors down. This is a Harwood cowl glass hood which I have taken on and off because of this problem. I really like the looks of this hood and would like to use it, and it allows me to run a high rise intake on this car. I have searched previous posts and can't seem to find anything on that particular issue. I am surprised as I see a lot of Firebirds with the headlight doors drooping below the front edge of the hood. I have the factory service manual and it is not mentioned that I can find. Can the headlight buckets/doors be adjusted for height? If so, How?

take the black bezel off and you will see a few screws to adjust the lid as well as one or two to adjust the closed height. There is also a little play where they mount to the rad support

Thanks for the quick reply. I assume by the term bezel, that you are refering to the black plastic trim around the headlight? Will this allow me to move the cover forward? My hood is knicking the paint on the headlight door.
