door skin seperated

I'm not much of a body man so alittle clueless about this. My drivers side door skin is starting to seperate. It starts at the top of the door and goes down about 5" on the side next to the front fender. What are my options for fixing this? Can I use a mig and do a couple tacks and call it a day? I tried to get a pic but it is hard to get a good pic while the door is still on.

Thanks
Keith

I know a little bit about metal work, and what I know is you should not just do a couple tacks, I don't know how good your welding skills are, but you should definitely try a "penny stack" weld as it's called by most older welders, basically try to seal it.

Just from opening and closing the door, or bumps in the road and what not, tacks will crack. Doesn't have to be nothing fancy, just able to stand up to use.
