Z 28 Nosepiece 82-84

I just bought a used nosepiece/front bumper for my '83. When I got it, it still had the metal inner bumper attached. When I seperated the two pieces to clean it up and prep it for paint, I found out that it must be an aftermarket replacement. On the back side, just about in the middle, it says- The Colonel's Inc. Camaro Z 28 '82-'84, #C 121.

Does anybody have anyexperience with this company? Are they a decent quality piece? It looks pretty decent but I haven't tried to mount it on a car yet though. I got it pretty cheap and if it fits well I'll be pretty happy.

Also, since I'm on the subject, what is a good paint stripper to use that won't hurt the plastic, or even gel coat on fiberglass? I usually use Zip Strip on metal stuff, but it's pretty strong and I'm afraid it might damage other materials. I've used different strippers before and I always comeback to Zip Strip because I think it works the best. But this is a little different.

never heard of em. if its a bumper and its metal, and it fits. you should be fine.

sandpaper works well for plastics. chemical abrasives can permanently damage the plastic. maybe not permanently.

It's two pieces, the steel bumper inside, almost assuredly from a real Camaro, and the outer rubber/plastic Camaro Z 28 nose piece that is aftermarket with "The Colonel's Inc. #C 121 in the rubber/plastic. The rubber /plastic exterior nose piece body panel is what I am wondering about.
