Hello and a Question

First off hello I'm new and I own a '92 firebird and I live in El Paso, TX secondly what would you guys recommend doing to fix the driver side door the welds have given out that hold the outside peace to the frame of the door reweld or replacing the door as it did get hit there but other than that the door is otherwise intact it just causes the mirror to move and need to be readjusted every 10-20 minutes

Re: Hello and a Question

Hi and welcome.

I guess to address your question it would all depend on if you are comforatible to repair the door yourself, some more detail or pictures may help get a response, there are some very crafty people here that should be able to help out. I am not quite one that would go for that job, no welding or welding experience... I would get a new door, or take it to a bodyshop and get prices. If you get a new door, or take it off, make sure you have help, they are very heavy.

Re: Hello and a Question

Haven't forgotten about getting the pictures it's just been at a friends house as he needed a car while he was in town(it was his car before mine), but I do have another question I had to replace the rear speakers and of course had to pull the covers to get to them what kind of glue would you recommend for reattaching the bottom half of them someone before me and my friend used a screw on the top half so I'm not worried about that half for now. so the question comes down to what kind of glue.
