Hatch help

Hey new to site I have a 83 firebird just wanted to know how i can get my hatch to open theirs no switch to pop it and i tried to pull the plastics off from the inside and i cant get the one that covers the lock. Its like i have to have the hatch open to get it off. also pulled the tailights off still not a thing o and no keys to haha.

p.s will have one off them threads that introduce my self soon haha

when i took a hatch from a junk yard i climbed in from inside and broke the plastic trim off and unbolted the catch from the body and took the whole thing.

there are two trim screws that hold the plastic trim to the catch on top which you would normally access with the hatch open. i dont know of any other options other then braking the panel, thats back there, loose.
