Removing front fender ground effects only
Removing front fender ground effects only
Hey gang. Haven't even looked underneath yet, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I'm getting ready to install a new bumper and plan to remove the front fender ground FX only on my 88 Trans Am GTA (not the sides or rear...just the front fenders). What am I up against? Some screws underneath? Double-sided tape / glue? Here's a pic. Any suggestions on what to expect / how to remove them would be appreciated. (And yes - I did search the forums, but mainly folks wanted info on side skirts and rear...not the front ones).
THANKS EVERYONE!

Re: Removing front fender ground effects only
Well there is nuts on the inside of the fender for the metal attachment piece.
Then a few screws by the tire and last but not least a lot of fasteners on the bottom. These parts are a lot bigger than what you can see from the top.
If you jack the car up I bet you will see what I mean.
There is usually a 10mm bolt that goes in from back to the front bumper cover that draws the cornes in. There is an "alignment ****" next to this bolt also.hth
