Windshield top tinted band color

Hi,

Was the original color of the windshield top tinted band brown ? My windshield is a bit rough, so it might be another reason to change it.

Nope, was blue to my knowledge, but brown is the product of 20+ years of UV damage.

I actually removed a few stickers off the top of my windshield, and can still see them in blue even with the sticker gone.

to my knowledge the strip was blue, along with every other car ever made... but yeah after years of sitting in the sun the strip on my dads old volvo turned brown so i think you might want to invest in a new windshield

Ive never seen a car come through our lot with a band faded from blue to brown. My 85 Z28 has a tan band across the top, It matches the gold perfectly.
