Buldge hood rust

Hey guys, I'm trying to find one of the firebird buldge hoods. I found one, but it has a little rust on it. I don't know much about rust so I was hoping to get some opinions on it. The guy said he would get it sanded, primered and ready for paint for $300. What do you guys think

Re: Buldge hood rust

looks like surface rust, but its not a good pic.

300 is insane, all he will likely do is a quick sand and prime it. you can do that.

does he have the scoop part for the rear of the hood or is that missing?

lowball him and see if he will take it.

Re: Buldge hood rust

There are PLENTY power bulge hoods, $300 is a ripoff. I'd offer him $75 but I guess I'm cheap. The rust doesn't look like anything a quick sanding wouldn't take care of, but I'd honestly keep looking.
