Hey Everyone
I recently picked up an 83 Firebird TA for $500. It is rusted badly, expecially on the drivers side. The floor pan is basically non existant on the drivers side but is prety much intact on the passengers side and the same goes for the rocker panels.

Over the next day or so I hope to to finish removing the interior, I just pulled back/half cut out the carpet and removed the seats to see just how bad the damage was the picture below was what I found.

Now the rocker panel rotted completely out directly ahead of the drivers door, so i removed all the rocker panel and the peice (Not quite sure what you call this part) the rocker panel welds too.

My question is how do you go about fixing this?

I am also wondering if you can unbolt the front and rear sub frames on these cars or are they welded to the body. If thats possible I will just look for a new shell and use my old subframes. At this point i think that will be the easyer route to go.
