86 IROC-Z round shifter knob

Has anyone reomoved a round shifter knob from a 86 IROC? If so, how does it come off?

Has anyone reomoved a round shifter **** from a 86 IROC? If so, how does it come off?

If you mean from an automatic, you can pull up the center button and use a snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring from inside.

Other ***** use a U shaped clip from the front.

I have the "8 ball" shift **** on my 5 speed car and it simply unscrews counter clockwise.

Yes, auto. The center button as in the push button? So i can literally pull up the button? Im going to give it a try. Thanks bro.
