Hey all,

just as the thread title asks. Will the 85+ Z28/Iroc Ground effects especially the front piece fit my 82 Z28?

The front piece will not fit. If you look at 82-84 cars and 85-92 cars the front bumpers are completely different. And with the rear number the gfx are part of the bumper. The side gfx will fit but the mounting holes might be different

Are you sure? They look very similar, the size seems to be about the same, is it just the way they mount to the car?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but from research I've done, the front bumpers will interchange and bolt up the same... BUT (there always has to be but) from what I've read all so, it is best to use fenders from that year too (or years of that style bumper) in conjunction with that nose piece. In other words if you're putting an 82'-84' kit on use 82'-84' fenders, 85'-90' use 85'-90' and same with 91'-92' years. I by no means no if there is actually a difference between the fenders (besides possibly lower gfx mounting locations) such as the fender contour, but from the looks of most the contour should be the same. That just means that the only difference between the year model fenders is the lower mounting locations of the gfx and if you're okay with doing your own fitting and drilling then I would think you'd be ok. I know mine is an 82' that originally didn't have any gfx (plain front rear bumpers) and I used gfx off an 84'. The nose piece fit ok on the 82' fenders but I decided to use the 84' fenders with the nose since it had the holes in it for attaching the lower spoiler to the fender. I also had to drill holes along the rocker panel to screw the support bracket on that holds the rocker gfx in place on both sides, drill holes in the door to attach the gfx lower door pieces, as well as holes in the back quarters to attach the gfx that blend to the rear bumper.
