Hey,

I think I busted the drivers door lock of my firebird...I tried turning the lock earlier when it was frozen, and sort of forced it....

Now it's unfrozen, and won't turn period...the door however, still unlocks from inside. I am however, forced to leave my door unlocked from outside...which I prefer not to do.

Who specializes in repairing car door locks? I called a body shop around me and they said they don't do that stuff...Would a locksmith be able to help?

you should be able to do it fairly easily.. its usually just a little tab that hold the door lock. on my cavalier it took me about 30 minutes( 15 of those because i lost the tab lol)

 

You might consider replacing the lock yourself. Check post #10 of the following link for a diagram:

I ended up pushing that 2.8 bird over a cliff and felt good

 

I guess that after pushing your car over a cliff that your door lock works fine now....its other parts that have to be repaired
