Lightweight hood struts

Does anyone know where I can find lightweight hood struts? I have a duraflex hood that weighs about 15lbs and I removed the stock struts. I have been using a copper pipe since then? I've checked around the web but haven't found anything yet. So does anyone know of a company or individual who offers lightweight hood struts for our cars?

You must not of looked very hard. Most companies thar make struts offer ones for fiberglass hoods. Strongarm for example.

Re: Lightweight hood struts

Look up the hood struts for a 82-83 Z28 with the factory glass hood. Or find someone with a worn out set of steel hood lifts, they'll hold your hood.
