Front Fender replacement

Okay guys, I tried searching but could not come up with the answers I needed. I am going to have to replace both front fenders on my 91 RS, I'm having a hard time locating some good used fenders in my area and was thinking about getting some aftermarket fenders instead. Does anyone here have any experience with these pieces? Is there a brand to avoid, or a place to avoid when buying them. I found a couple on eBay from a generic car parts place, for around $60 a side with free shipping, anyone ever ordered some off eBay?

Thanks
Aaron

Re: Front Fender replacement

My limited understanding is that aftermarket body panels are made from older machine presses oversees. Due to use and age, presses may not have same tolerances as before. Panels may not fit 100%. Some people on here and where I live told me this. I'm curious how different they may be. Some aftermarket body parts are the only replacements I can find (like 92 chin spoiler).

Craigslist usually has lots of camaro parts for sale. Here is search results for Nashville.

Re: Front Fender replacement

I just removed an aftermarket right front fender that came with the car when I bought it. They're alright if you wanna get by...but, I measured it at 3/16" shorter than OEM (on three different OEM fenders) which caused a slight hood overhang. Other than that it fit pretty good. I got it if you want it....PM if interested

Re: Front Fender replacement

Try www.car-part.com, pretty much every major junkyard all in one catalog. You can probably find some decent fenders near you. I've got a pair of oem fenders that need to be sanded and painted, they've got a little rust and the bottom behind the wheel well. If your interested let me know.
