Okay so I guess no one knows... PLZ HELP!?!?!

Okay I have a hatch that is busted out and i got a new one from a junkyard. I dont want to have to sand and repaint the new one to match my camaro i was just going to switch the hatch spoiler panel with the one on my car already. There are i think 5 bolts that are going through some holes in the glass but I dont know how to take the glass off because it also needs to slide out of the metal trim along the hatch please someone help me im stuck and to say the least could use some guidance.

Don't know about the metal trim but there's a very strong adhesive that seals the water out in between the glass and the deck lid. If the weather is warm enough I've been able to pry and get a razor knife in there and cut it. You should check on the one you're replacing since you have to put some pressure on the glass. Make sure you reseal it though when you replace it.

(I also posted in a thread about it a while ago if you can find it.)

Been a long time since I swapped mine.
I think you just undo those bolts underneath the panel. You might also have to cut through the glue that helps hold it to the glass and seals the gap at the bottom of the hatch glass. Be very careful not to flex the glass much!
You should be able to leave the metal trim attached and just swap the hatch panel pretty easily.

Remove the nuts and the adhesive, then it lifts off. It's been about a year since I removed one, but that's what I remember. Oh, you might be fighting the hatch struts too. If they're not removed, reattach the nuts and secure it first. Could be dangerous if not removed correctly.

- I went out and looked and there are a couple of screws on the edge that I guess could be removed as far as the metal trim goes.
