basecoat over acrylic
just bought a camaro solid body .only problem is its light purple. here my question the paint on it is acrylic . im going to repaint it with basecoat clear coat , do i take purple completely off ,or can i ruff it up and spray primer/sealer over it?

Are you serious Acrylic 
i would take it off if i were you... or at least as much as you can.
DA it with 80 grit and get Xtreme Primer this primer WILL fill your 80grit scratches and its also a sealer so u will be fine with it
