Fender replacement purchase question.

So I am looking to replace my rusted/bent up passenger fender and well I see prices vary alot. I know shipping is a factor but so far online the prices are $85-150 does that seem like a fair price? My local junkyards would sell them for around $35-50 with environment tax and regular tax included. That's if they have any Camaros at all. 2 and 3 days of yard hunting and nothing so far.

So I went looking around and found some on ebay and I have heard some mixed things about em, some say some play might be required to make them fit and some say their good. Here is the fender that I want to buy and see how it goes. Price is very nice and the deal going on with free shipping is a deal breaker for me right now.

What do you guys think? The seller looks good and comes with a fitment warranty. Also what does shipping cost for fender anyways? I figured its around 35-45.

Thanks,
Carlos

Re: Fender replacement purchase question.

All aftermarket fenders are hit or miss when it comes to quality. If the guys forming it take their time and do it right every time they come out just as good as factory. Sometimes though you get a sloppy worker who doesn't take the time or effort to make sure all bends, holes, and body lines are made in the right place. I have purchased camaro fenders twice from my local body parts store. The first set I put on a camaro fit pretty good, with one only needing minor tweaking. The set I bought most recently (same manufacturer) required MAJOR modification to make the body lines meet.
Bottom line, when you purchase an aftermarket fender you are gambling on getting a good one or not.

Well with my budget, I decided to gamble it and it came out good. All lines matched up. Of course with some small tough love. Even with that the company offered to replace it.

I recommend it to anyone looking for a fender replacement and don't want to pay over 3 times what local yards prices for someone to pick one for them and ship it.

Of course here is a picture. I know its blurry and bad but you get the picture.
