Re: Removeing Windows
The glass has a channel riveted to it. The regulator slides into that channel. It's not hard to separate the window and regulator, but I find it's a BITCH to get the glass completely out of the door. I was recently putting my car back together after paint, and I had a hell of a time getting the glass back in while trying not to scratch anything. IMO that's harder than changing the regulator/motor...but that's just me.

My drivers door has a chip in it, and I have a donor car with good glass. So I would like to just swap the glass out. When I converted my manual doors to power, I tried to get the glass out of the actual door, but it didn't want to come out. It was like I needed to flex it just the right amount to lift it out, but I was afraid I would break it.
