Door smashed on hit and run
So around lunch time today som *** in a lifted chevy truck backed into my car and then pulled forwards and ripped the mirror and the door skin out. The the safeway gas station next door got it all on camera but their camera sucks so bad the police officer couldnt read the license plate of the truck. Im still pissed to all hell about this, especially since my car had a top dollar paint job and has never been wrecked. I am about to go to some body shops to get some quotes and I am wondering what is the most perfessional way to have all the damaged repaired. I would like to keep the door if possible and just reskin it so I can keep the numbers all matching. Just looking for suggestions here, Im probably going to use my insurance so money is not a problem. Also is it possible to get plastic mirrors instead of metal? Thanks.

thaaaat sucks man ...ok, by changing ur mirrors you wont have your car original any more the way you want to keep it by just re-skinning the door, many if the shops will just replace the door specially if you are getting your insurance involved, if you are only worried about the vin and specs on the door sticker then they can transfer it to the new door, they probably will say that or cant be done but thats bs, i've done it many times, the only thing that will prevent it from getting transfered is if the sticker is cracking but thats all

I should say im not to concerned about putting parts on that are not orginal but I really want to replace the least amount of parts possible.
