Well guys, i just got into an accident the other day in my '83 berlinetta. bent the front bumper, hood, and drivers side fender..no biggie, plenty of parts right? welllll, i finally got the hood up and i noticed the frame rail tht connects to my bumper is compressed in a lil, and the metal peice that goes across the top front of the car (between the two fenders and holds the radiator on), is bent in tremendously. what you guys think i should do with this? i love my car, first camaro i ever owned. has 305, lifted 2" in back with old school ss cragar rims, two tone white-gold paint, flowmasters, and rides like a dream..any ideas?

 

Find a good parts car or a good salvage yard, then find the best frame shop in your area. Love is not rational.

i had the same issue when I wrecked my '90 Iroc. We ended up at a salvage yard and got the radiator support for less than 100 from a T/A, drilled out the welds, and welded in the new one. Didnt take more than a few hours and is much better than messing with aligning all the body panels again.

 

yea, im actually buyin a whole '86 berlinetta for 150 dollars. =p
taking all the parts i need off of it then scrapping it. ill make my money back easily..

 

Cant beat that deal. If your close to me, I will buy the car for $150 after you get your metal, if you want.

 

i live near gainesville, fl..so yea, im puttin the bent fenders and hood off mine onto it and scrappin it. but yea, id sell it for 150 when im done.
