My 84 Z28 has had problems with driver side door handle on the outside not working, but opens from the inside. Today I go out to work on it and the passenger side exterior door handle stopped working! (T-tops are locked into place, and trunk keyhole doesnt work) How do I get in?!

 

Probably going to have to call someone that can jimmy the door open, unless you know the hanger trick.

 

That would unlock the door, but it was already unlocked, hanger wouldnt have enough force to pull the inside handle. I figured out a way though!

BTW, the hanger trick does work, just gotta bend the end of it in a U shape and then pull it toward the back of the door. I've done it twice before, and that was on a hardtop car. Also once used a piece of steel re-bar and put it in toward the front of the window and pushed the handle out and back.

These unframed windows are good for something!
