Early 80's TA cowl induction hood

Don't know if this is the right place to post this or not, but there's a guy on ebay who is selling a hood that he lists as a "formula" hood. Upon closer looks, it appears as if it is the early 80's vacuum operated cowl induction hood. I may be mistaken. If not, here's a chance for somebody to score a hood that seems to be very difficult to locate. Here's the link:

If for some reason the link doesn't work for you, here's the title of the sale if you want to search for it: "Firebird formula hood w/ cowl induction".

Before anyone asks, no it is not my sale nor do I have any connection to the part being sold. I just thought I would try to be helpful for anyone looking for that hood. Would be an interesting project for somebody that has a TBI engine.

Not necessarily.

That hood was also used on 82-84 T/A's, and that intake had a matching air cleaner lid, and the flap would open when the motor hit WOT, allowing more air in. The hood itself was used on 82-84 t/a's, as well as formulas. The formula hoods had the mounting points for that induction system as well, even though they did not use them.

Oh, and that price is pretty crazy.

I sold 2 of these @ $125 each, and one with a little dent in it for $75.

I don't think so. Look closer at the second pic. You can see the air induction setup. It even looks like the solenoid is still there.
