Fender/Door question
Anyone know what the stock gap is between the doors and front fenders? Also, how difficult is it to swap doors out? Thanks.

Re: Fender/Door question
Repair manual does not show or even come up on alignment, but I would guess it would be up to you to align them right, There should not be a noticeable gap between them but I would have them a bit more than needed to close just to not cause any problems later down the road if sagging occurs. As to swap them out, heres the pages from repair manual for ya. Also remember fender remove would help or is required as well.

Re: Fender/Door question
You're going to want about a solid 1/8 of an inch all the way down. Maybe a little less. There should be an equal gap between the door and the body at the back as well. Remove fender (4 bolts between fender and bumper, one or two bolts under fender ahead of wheel, one bolt underneath behind wheel, and about 7 on top, three of which are hood hinge bolts). 99% of those bolts will be 10mm, and I know on the firebird, two of the nuts that hold fender to bumper were 11mm, been a while since i've taken a camaro apart. As far as the door, while the fender is off, 4 13mm bolts from the outside, and 2 15mm bolts from the inside, behind the kick panel. For that you will just need a phillips head screw driver. Plan on about 2 hours to comfortably swap out and align properly. Very easy job, just need a second set of hands to move the door around and such. Also, as far as fender, not sure it's mandated, but removing the hood makes it so much easier.
