3M paint remover

i've been doing a little body work at a time and when i went to get the bondo hardener and some more sand paper last time i caught this out of my eye and for some reason i bought it...was like a sign from above. i thin i paid about $7 for it at Lowes which was surprisingly 2 dollars cheaper than wal-mart...i have used it on my cord and cordless drill. it's alot like drill sanding but if you got some crud and want to get it down quick use the edges and it'll cut it fast....this thing is awesome and you can do some detailed sanding so you have less to hand sand just have to sand out the swirls from the drill motion...anyway this thing is awesome def worth the money. it didn't seem to wear out quickly as i have used it many many many times over the past couple weeks and it's still got a long life ahead. the only thing i can say is that on the rust it wasn't as quick as on paint and bondo.

Sorry if this needs moved but i wasn't really sure where to put it.

Re: 3M paint remover

I use those all of the time. Just be warned you'll only get about half of the dual disc to use. You'd be better off finding a Harbor Freight or going to their website and getting one there (about half of what you paid for the 3M disc).

The only thing that beats that would be a similar disc on an angle grinder...

even at half use or even at an hour use it still beats hand sanding or even using a drill sanding pad...i have a palm sander (the kind that vibrate) and i thought it beat the heck out of hand sanding but since this it's so worth it at almost any price.

Re: 3M paint remover

I'd start out removing the paint and stuff with the 3M pad and then use the palm sander to get the deep scratches out to prepare for primer.
