HELP! can't get back hatch open

HELP! can't get back hatch open
I just got a 3rd gen 83 camaro and I can't find how to open the rear hatch. There is no key or button anywhere to be found on the back or anything inside either. Maybe I'm just missing something so any info would be great.

Hatch has key lock behind the licence plate holder. Rund head key fits doors & hatch.
