1991 RS Restoration - Stage 1

Splitting up my Build thread into the appropriate forums. This thread will be specifically about the body restoration.

I've split this build into several stages:

Stage 1: Restoration
- Strip car to frame
- Massage out the only minor dent in the car
- Replace nose Ground Effects as they have a crack
- Deal with any rust areas, and sand/seal them
- Undercoat Interior to prevent possible rust
- Apply truck bed liner to protect underside of vehicle
- Apply Dynamatt to interior
- Replace all seals/hinges, and other components that show wear
- Replace Steering Components
- Replace Carpet (already have)
- Add BMW E36 Headlight Mod
- All Red Tail Light Mod
- Add ASCD SS Hood or Jongbloed hood
- Prep and Paint some shade of Dark blue, or slate grey
- Mini Tub rear for wide tires
- Add 18x12 Rear and 18X10 front wheels (possibly FISKE FM5's) (might go with 19's depending on how it looks)

Re: 1991 RS Restoration - Stage 1

I've already got the car mostly stripped, but I am not going to work on it till early january because we're moving to a new home, and until the move the car is about 30 miles from my house. So watch for updates just after the beginning of the year!

Re: 1991 RS Restoration - Stage 1

Unfortunately I sold this car to another Third-Gen Fan. I needed a car I could drive while I worked on it. I purchased a 1999 T/A LS1/T56, and I absolutely love it. I wish it were a third gen with all the '99 T/A interior/Engine/Trans, but it wasn't in the cards for now. I am determined to do a wild third-gen build sometime in the future though, and I will definitely keep up with the TGO boards.
