removing undercoating without stripping paint?
I have some undercoating on the backside of the wheel wells in the engine bay, and some on the firewall. I'd like to remove it so the engine bay looks cleaner, but I don't want to remove the paint either. Anyone know a good way to do this?

Where appropriate, you might try a bottle torch to soften the coating, then scrape with a plastic putty knife and hit it with kerosine.
