Lexan T-tops
I know there have been a few posts about interchangeability with glass. What I want to know is: Are the glass tops quieter in terms of rattling and squeaking. My lexan ones are noisy in that way and I was wondering if glass ones were quieter. I did a search and dint find anything.

Re: Lexan T-tops
I've driven cars with both, including my own Camaro and there isn't a difference. If the tops are making noise, its because they are moving and the weatherstripping is not doing its job of maintaining a good seal. That, or the latch mechanism is worn and allowing them to vibrate. Neither problem is going to be dependent upon which type of tops you are using, nor will switching from one type to the other fix it.

I am sure I will need all new weatherstripping and adjustment. I am not expecting miracles but hopefully it will help.

In my experience, the rubber squeaks when it moves against the plastic tops. Other then that, the plastic tops seem to seal better to the weatherstripping, they're lighter, they're tinted darker, and they don't rattle as much. If they didn't degrade so bad when exposed to UV, it'd be a slam dunk victory for plastic t-tops.
The tops are always going to be moving independent of the weatherstripping, it's nature of the beast with a unibody car with 3/4 of the roof removed. Subframe connectors to stiffen the body and silicone grease applied to the rubber so it doesn't stick to the plastic will eliminate most of the noise.

Have you tried adjusting them? If you remove the A-pillar and B-pillar plastics, you'll see where the 'holes' for the pins on the body of the car can be adjusted - loosen the bolts and they twist a tad to change the position.
