Rear Bumber Soft.

I'm getting my 82 camaro painted. When I stopped by yesterday to drop off the 3" cowl the painter pointed out, the rear bumber is soft in the middle like its warped. Its like that on my 89 camaro too. Is the paint going to chip or crack when flexing?

Re: Rear Bumber Soft.

Everything has a cracking/breaking point. I would say as long as you have the plastic baffling underneath the bumper and you don't back into anything, you should be alright. Maybe take the bumper off and see if it's been repaired in the past or rear ended and the plastic isn't supporting the shape like it should. Just an idea.
