Found a sweet set of doors on a 92 RS in local parts yard, are they a direct replacement for an 88 firebird and how hard to put elec window parts in donor doors, i think they were crank ups.

 

The doors themselves are the same, although the lower filler panel on the door is not the same. You will have to swap out the filler panel with your old ones. The rubber moldings are also different, I believe, but they are just attached with double-sided tape.

The window regulators are riveted in and will need to be drilled out (Not that hard, really.) You can re-install them with nuts and bolts instead of the rivets if you want.

Thanks for the reply although im not sure what the filler panels are. The rs has a ground effects package on it. Will that be a problem. It was kinda sad to see that rs out there, 25th anniversary edition.

 

I thought by 92 all cars were standard with power windows? (by all I mean 3rd gens)

 

I really didnt notice. Was more concerned w/condition of door. U r probably right though.
