It depends.
There are basically 3 spoliers offered on 3rd gen firebirds from the factory.
85-90 Aero wing - you have to have the three clips on the side of the hatch frame to use this one.
91-92 Aero wing - I believe this takes just 2 clips on the side of the hatch.
Standard spoiler - If it is the 5"-6" wide spoiler that sits about 2" inches or so above the hatch,
(pictured below) then yes it will fit an 82-84 as well.
Keep in mind that 87-90 carried a third tailight under those spoilers as well.
