rear bumper removal
can somebody please give me some idea of the process to remove the rear bumper cover? i need the impact bar (metal piece underneath the honeycomb stuff that is under bumper cover), and have found a car i can pull one from. but, i can't take the entire toolbox, or power tools, so i need to have a gameplan on what i'll need and what the process is. rear plastics already out, as well as tail lights. where do i start and what tools do i need?
Re: rear bumper removal
There are 3 (4?) studs with nuts along the seem between the quarter panel and the bumper cover. I think they are 13mm, but they could be 12's. Get at these from inside the car. At the top and bottom of the cover there are some push darts. Screwdriver, pliers and some side cutters work well to remove these. The license plate bracket needs to come off too, 10mm for these bolts. All in all you only need a few tools, 1/4" drive stuff works well in the tight areas. It'd probably be a good idea to bring a 10, 11, 12 and 13mm socket and wrench. I'm fairly positive there aren't any 11's...but it's been awhile since I've had one off.

There's also one small bolt (I believe its a 7mm) holding the lower rear ground effect piece to the bumper on each side.
The nuts on the studs going through the quarter panel were 11mm on my car.
