Lost a louver today..
Driving down the highway and my driver side louver decided to sprout wings and try and fly away... Damn. Pulled off on the side and walked back up the road, where I found the poor fellow in about 16 different pieces. Damn.
Bought them used and had all but one (which was missing) stud screwed on I guess they were just dry rotted enough that it just pulled off when enough air got under them.
Well, back to looking for louvers..

Yeah, I had just finished cleaning and buffing under them and reattached them. I had them all tight...
I would appreciate that! I am bidding on one on eBay right now but I think it'll go over my highest bid... Lemme know what you find out.

Next time use some glue or emblem tape to hold them down, like you, I learned that the hard way

That 3M automotive trim adhesive works great too. A couple of drops in the front and one or two in the back and your good. Or if you get a deal on louvers with no studs just put a drop on each stud location and it will stay on until you take it off with a spatula or similar flat tool.

Re: Lost a louver today..
If you can't manage to get the one off ebay, I may have a drivers side louver. I have an extra hood that was heated up due to an engine fire on another car. The only damage was blistered paint and warped a bit to the passenger louver... if memory serves me correctly, the drivers side is still good. Let me know if your interested and I can go take a look make sure its all intact.
It's alright, it wasnt anyone's fault, just a spot of bad luck.
