Core support on my 83

So I'm currently fixing up an 83' z28 and the driver side corner of the rad core support looks as if it was crunched and " fixed " at some point. It still looks pretty bad. Small buckle in the corner. The outer hole behind the headlight is cracked and the whole corner is rusting. The bottom of the actual radiator location is actually bent upwards looks like someone used it as a jack point. And the flanges on the bumper brackets are bent too. It really isn't too bad and its all fixable as I have an 86 parts car with a straight front end. I want to know.. should I cut and swap the entire rad support or just the damaged pieces and replace them? Can upload pics if necessary.
Thanks

Re: Core support on my 83

the "best" way would be to tear down the entire nose, replace the entire support and fix whatever else is damaged. Its a lot of work, and a lot of spot welds, but it owuld be the best fix.

The proper way is to put it on a frame rack and pull it back into tolerance before you begin the repair.
