Hatch gas struts replacement?...
In order to get the Hatch strut replacement for my camaro, will I need to go through the dealer to get the rear defrost to connections to work properly?, or would I be able to get the connection pieces off a junked camaro and swap them onto replacement struts?

I just replaced mine and they had the defrost connections on them too. It was the strongarm brand.

I got mine from autozone they have the defroster piece. Dont get them off a junk yard car because defroster piece is built in the shock and a jy shock will be worn out.
Re: Hatch gas struts replacement?...
Just make sure you ask for the struts with the defrost and the correct spoiler for your car. They are not standard and have variations. Advance Auto is a good source.
