Re: Need help

I started out at the same time as you, my dad's '79 Camaro sparked up my intrest once I found out it would be mine. I started building model cars and reading magazines, the models help you get an idea for where the parts go and what they are, but they dont have everything, so it is limited. It does get you familliar with paint and teaches patience (which you will need a lot of lol). It's hard to explain all the different parts of a car if you the person you're talking to doesn't know what you are talking about. The best way to learn is to get out there and do it, not to say go rip your moms car apart, but go hangout with someone thats working on a car, dad, friend, friends dad, don't matter, if they will take the time to help you learn and maybe let you work a wrench. Cars are easy, it's mostly nuts and bolt, so it all comes apart and goes back together, no biggie. For starters, you will want to do a tune up, just start out easy and work your way up, keep it simple, learn what part it is and what it does.
