Take the hatch interior panel off. There will be studs coming off of the spoiler and through the trunk lid. You can elongate these holes if they aren't elongated already so you can adjust where the spoiler sits. Same goes with the sides of the spoiler.

Take it apart and you will see. Being 18 has nothing to do with it, a baby could do it. Take the hatch panel off you will see the studs coming off the spoiler and through.
