T-top help
I have a 1991 Z/28 L98 car. The car does have t-tops on it, but is not a CC1 car as indicated on the RPO sheet. I know C & C took Camaros at the time and made them into T-top cars, but I also know that the edges of those T-tops are curved, not straight. I'm trying to figure out what kind of T-top is on my car. There is no stamp or anything on the glass, so I am lost. The glass has no trim on 3 sides, with straight 90 degree edges on the glass. I do know that it was not an option on the L98 Camaros to have the CC1 package, but could this T-top car be a fluke from GM not labeled. Reason why I am asking is I am currently looking at restoring the car (lot of rust and milage, time to rebuild) and the T-tops do leak a bit. When I looked at T-top seals, the seals that are on my car do not look curved like the C & C seals look, they look straight angled. If anyone can help me on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: T-top help
sounds like factory tops to me, but a pic is worth a thousand words...
it could be that someone replaced the center console at some point with one from a c&c car if you have the rpo for it. does the vin on the rpo sheet match the vin of the car?

Re: T-top help
VIN matches the RPO sticker. Unfortunatly right now the car is not with me, I'm at Ft. Campbell KY and the car is in GA at my parent's house. I'm trying to figure out if I have a fluke factory T-top with the L98. The only trim on the T-top is on the piece that fits over the door, the rest is bare glass. I'm just lost. And unfortunatly, I can't find pics of a factory 91 T-top car and compare them to a C & C T-top car

Re: T-top help
you can see the factory tops are completely straight on the front edge whereas the c&c tops have a slight curve to them. also the c&c tops are smaller than factory tops

Re: T-top help
got the measurements. saw that C & C went out of business, but is now owned by another company, which had the measurements. unfortunatly i do have a C & C car, which is kind of a bummer, but oh well. thought that i had a "fluke" car from gm. i guess now the question is, is there an approximate figure how many L98 cars when to C & C and got T-tops? or a way to find out. Also, if anyone is interested, I do know of a L98 CC1 IROC for sale in Ky for $2700.00. just thought I would put that out there.
