yes you can. mine were a rusted mess ,what i did was wrap the jaws of my vicegrip with tape,and carefully clamped the sucker down tight,you dont have much room to work and they will probably pop off a time or two,but it can be done

Don't take chance on breaking glass as I have seen happen, go to napa and get yourself a quality nut buster, put it on the nut not the round, you'll have it off in 5 minutes.
