rubber part that goes around window triangle dealy

hey, so i have to replace just the rubber part from that front triangle portion of the front windows, next to the side mirrors. is there a simple way to do this without replacing the whole fixture?? i have the whole part to bolt on, but my window sweeps are in pretty 'dry' condition, if you know what i mean. so i really dont want to risk breaking or cracking those putting in the triangle.

so, on this triangle, does the rubber slide on or of at all (kind of looks like it was meant to)? the rubber on the triangle on my car is pretty dried out, so it will be tough, but the new one is in good shape. ?

i'm playing with the replacement triangle, and just am not able to get that rubber part to really budge. i dont want to tear any of the rubber or anything, is there some sort of trick to it? i can see how it wants to slide upwards, but just cant get it.
