Seal decklid to glass before or after paint?
I switched my deck lid from a 3 piece spoiler to the 91-92 high rise spoiler. Right now the decklid is just in primer(top and bottom) and is off of the car. The decklid was not stripped to bare metal so the factory primer is still on there.
This weekend i was going to seal the decklid to the glass. But i started thinking it might be better to wait for it to be painted first, this way they can paint the underside of it too.
I haven't talked to a body shop yet, but i plan to have the whole car repainted, including all of the jams. But i wanted to get the decklid on the car as i'm assembling everything right now before talking to a body shop.
Should i seal it to the glass now or wait till its repainted?
Thanks
