Need info/pics to help about my floorboards
I have a 1983 z28 with a real bad floor pan problem. Rust where the back seats go and where the rear axel linkage arm attaches to went to crap so that arm is no longer attached to the floor. is it worth replacing and if so how hard would it be and would i need a donor car or can use sheet metal?

Kind of scary seeing the LCA mount area that rotted.
The LCA mount is a major structural component. If you cant repair that area properly it will not be safe to drive.
The problem is the stamped floor pans they sell do not extend back that far. You will have to cut what you need out of a donor car or fabricate it if possible.
Not sure what else I can tell you. What did you need pictures of?

My 85 was the same thing but not that bad. I fixed it as best as I could by welding in new metal but it was ultimately a waste of time as it was never the same again. Its up to you if you think its saving but I dont see it worth it unless the rest of the car is spotless
