Next impossible-to-find part...trunk lock!

Does anyone know who carries the protruding-shaft style trunk lock cylinder for use with the 86-91 pull down style hatch? The standard replacement DOES NOT WORK with the solenoid override mechanism and cable, and will not attach to nor operate them. Is this another one of those wonderfully unsupported parts that is nigh-impossible to replace? Seems our cars, as popular as they are, have WAY too many of those...My '88 MR2 Mk1 is easier to get parts for, and they only sold 4500 MR2's in all of North America that year!
