Front Lip Spoiler Removal

OK, my knuckles are all bleeding and I would appreciate any help yall can offer. I am attempting to remove the lip spoiler on the front of my car. After all day of fighting with rusted bolts and skinning my knuckles and breaking nails I have two bolts left that just spin when I turn them. They are the corner bolts on each end of the front. My spoiler is just sorta hanging. I think that it was meant to be this way as both corners do the same thing. There is a recessed area that both bolts are tucked away in. Anyone know how to get them out?

Re: Front Lip Spoiler Removal

If they are what I think you are describing, they are bolts that go through a "u" shape bracket. Sounds like the bolt threads have stripped. Long story short, you have to do what ever it takes to get them out. My advice is what ever you do take care not to destroy the bracket that they go into as it is hard to locate some of the replacement hardware. For more access to these bolts it may be an option to remove the entire bumper cover as you are about halfway there already.
