Cat fight on my hood What should I do? Non 3rd gen

I came home and there appears to have been a cat fight on my hood, They are only surface scratches do you thing that hand glacie (spelling) would work?

Axle/Gears: BW 9-Bolt 3.27
Try polishing compound, and if that doesn't get them out, try rubbing compound. When your done, wax that area.

Buff it out with Meguires Heavy cut cleaner. Afterwards use Meguires swirl remover. Should be as good as new.

What is swirl remover? is it a wax? After I use it do I need to wax the car? I don't dare touch a buffer, I did it to a old winter rider and I did alright but some spots I really messed up the paint.

Swirl remover is a very fine polish that removes the swirl marks left after buffing. It's a lot harder to do it by hand, but it can be done.

What about gm swirl remover? I was also told to use 3m swirl remover, Is one better then the other? I Am not a body man I don't want to make the paint worse. Would I just rub it intil incame out? thanks
