Rear window tint

The guy who had my car before me put this really crappy tint job in the rear glass. I need to get it removed, but I have a rear window defogger. Does anyone know how to get window tint off without damaging the rear window defogger? thanks

The place that re-tinted my windows said they had to use some chemical on it that eats away the tint but doesn't hurt the defogger. I couldn't tell you what it was though. You might try calling a local window tint shop.

I used Gasket remover on my back window and it worked great! You have to lay towels or something on you interior parts, and watch your paint!! I started by peeling a little peice off, Sprayed some gasket remover, let sit, than started peeling again, One thing I did is at each defroster line I sprayed the remover so I wouldn't damage the lines. It was a messy job, but when I was done, all the tint was off, and the defroster worked fine..... Good Luck!
