Ground effects inside door trim tricks

So My ground effects were rubbing on the lower door ground effect trim. I'm trying to find a nice sleek way of protecting them from scratches in the same manner. I was looking at some adhesive anti skid strips. VW uses them on there door sills and thought It may look decent. Anyone have any pics or ideas of what they have done?

Sounds like your doors are sagging from worn hinges. Very common to a 3rd gen with its uber-heavy doors.

Its actually from the almost 30 years of plastic deformation, and getting in and out and stepping on the sill or something caught under the door. The hinges were the first thing changed on this car about 10 years ago and still holding on strong.

I want to find something that will hold of to this carelessness a bit better then the paint.
