My 1987 trans am was recently broken into through the hatch. They busted the key lock out of the hatch and the button inside of my trans am doesn't work to open the hatch. Where the lock should be there is a big opening. anyway I can get it open still?

 

A long small diameter straight screwdriver may open it. Use it as the rod on the back of the cylinder. 1/4 turn clockwise and it should open. Maybe someone has some pics that would help. Good luck
