Are they to the point of being interchangeable from an appearance standpoint or not? I know some model years had a large black panel where the door latch and lock is and some(like mine)have a smaller dark grey swept back panel. Are the two years the same or was this a changeover year?

One of my friends who owns an '89 GTA has the same swept back panels that we do so I don't think that 90 was the change over year. I haven't seen enough Firebirds in person in my lifetime to tell for sure though.

If you are talking about the ground fx,, the change year was 91.Other than that, the door shell itself was the same 85-92
